New Media Interface Plus installed and working

For those of you who own an iPhone/iPod and want better integration with your 2009+ G-Class, I can verify that the new Mercedes Media Interface Plus adapter works in my 2010 G55 (international version). This device is currently only sold in the US because the Pandora integration only works in the US (in theory) and it is English-only for the moment.

My next project is to get the MB InCar HotSpot (WiFi router) installed. They haven't released a kit for the G-Class yet, but after digging around the EPC data it seems that the kit from the GL/ML should work.

Some photos of the install:

It costs about $300, but for now is only sold by dealers in the US. I bought mine via eBay.

Thats amazing. Out of all the cars ive owned, my 2009 G55 has been the best with ipod integration. I recently paired my Iphone 4 to the car and the calls are seamless.

By the way, i love the carbon fiber interior trim. I never saw it available on the 2009 options list

It's not a standard option...they had a limited edition in 2010 that came with carbon interior and side strips outside along with two tone leather, painted wheels, etc.:

A couple of companies, including AMG, offer interior trim upgrade kits in carbon fiber.
