Front axle match for G500 to g55

I got a damage 2005 G500 and the front axle is bent. Does anyone know if the front axle from a G55 would fit into the g500. More specifically can a front axle assembly from a 2006 G55 be used on a 2005 G500. Your help is greatly appreciated.
