TMPS Tire Pressure Monitoring System for 2005 G500

It just got a new set of wheels for my 2005 G500 and I wanted to know if I needed to install the TMPS in the new set of wheels and tires. Is it ok to just put on the wheels and tires without the TMPS in them?
