G550: 2010 v 2011 v 2012
Hi All,
Please tell me, are there any notable differences in the G550 from MY10 to MY12?
I think there's an improvement in stated city fuel economy - 1 mpg - from MY11 to MY12, but I'm uncertain what underlying change, if any, caused it.
Driving in S FL has become less pleasant than it has been. So, it's time to get a Gwagen, which I'm confident will encourage other drivers to keep a healthy distance. (;D
There are some leftover MY11s around. And I think I've found a new MY10 as well. I'm wondering whether it would make any practical difference which of those MYs I get.
Thank you in advance for your responses and advice.
Happy Holidays to all!
David

Updates in 2013...
jimmyg,
Thank you for that info.
With that in mind, I think it would be wise to get a leftover MY10/11 and then trade for the MY13/14.
No good reason to wait. Drivers here are becoming a bit too cozy and distracted. It's time to put on some armor before heading out onto the roads.
Thanks again,
David

MY2010...
Understood and thanks for the advice.
As long as it has ventilated seats, rearview camera and good COMAND, it should be passable.
It's 2am here, so my word choice might not be at its best:
The only factor I would ask about is on-road ride quality.
Are you aware of significant ride differences among MY10, MY11 and MY12?
