Convert G-Class to CNG?
Has anyone thought about converting a used G-Class to CNG in the U.S. or I guess anywhere in the world for that matter?

I was just thinking it would be a great conversion since the cost per mile to drive a "G" on CNG would be about 50% less than gasoline.
I would love to buy an older "G" for $25k-$30k and pay for the conversion although I'm not sure how much it would cost or if there is a company that can custom build the conversion.

I'd love to have an older G w/ CNG. The cost of conversion could be recouped in just a couple of years of driving.

Long term you would save money because the cost per mile via CNG is 50% than of gasoline.
The U.S. also has a lot of domestic natural gas.
