Hi All. I lifted this from one of our forum member's (Ted Baldwin) posts. Does anyone know where he got these Temp control switches and if it is an OEM part? If OEM, what year model G is it from?
Does anyone know if it was a plug and play swap from the 4 knob analog temp switch console it replaced?
I believe the car was a 2005 G55. But looking at 2005's and 2006's the temp control console was like the old analog one in my 2003. When I checked some 2007 and 2008 pics of G55's, they had the newer style consoles with the 2 giant knobs.
Does anyone know?

Yes I believe that's what was done. Apparently it's plug and play. One drawback is it is hit or miss. It works straight off the bat with some and others are not able to get it to work. There are quite a few for sale on ebay that have been refurbished.

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if anyone has installed one of these a/c switches in their G Wagon. I have a 2003 G500 and have been thinking of doing it.

Except the digital control form the C class also has separate vent controls for Driver and Passenger. As well as electronicaly activated Charcol filter.
Those functions wil not work on a car that didnt come with it originaly.
I was attempting to do the same thing back when i had C coupe.
