Thinking of BRABUS valve controlled exhaust g SWB
Hi everyone
I'm new to this place and I thought I should register and catch up with you guys, I own G500 SWB coupe 12' model and that's the final edition one, to be frank I'm not very happy with the exhaust sound specially it's a 500, was thinking of the option BRABUS valve controlled sports exhaust which is only made for g55's but while stopping by BRABUS centre in Dubai they informed me that it's possible to be installed in my coupe, it's bit expensive (around 9k $)
Wanted to hear from you guys if anyone installed it on regular 500 and if it's worth it in the first place? If not any other recommendations ? Appreciate your feedback

That's super expensive. You can just remove the third muffler and put a straight pipe in it's place at 1/20th the cost and get a good rumble. Is it worth $8.5k to be able to adjust the sound level?

Well I agree $9k is a lot but the reason I considered that is because gargash the main dealer in Dubai favors them and keeps the warranty on if BRABUS is installed its supposly approved merc tuning company and that's why BRABUS prices are just over!!
I was thinking to install the g55 cutback system from kojak it's third the amount but no warranties and gargash will exclude warranty on exhaust !!
What do you think buddy?
Btw nice car you got, I used to own the Arabian edition but 79 is way sexier ! As I was reading your posts I think you have ordered the g63 any price tag you were confirmed! Gargash is booking them for 670 as I heard!!!!

It's a tough decision, but I'm pretty sure that just because you don't use a MB/Brabus exhaust the dealer (Gargash or EMC) cannot deny you warranty service. They have to demonstrate that any fault is caused by the modification.
EMC is booking G63's for 690k, but I custom ordered one from them a few months ago for November delivery and the price they've given me is considerably less. I won't know the final price until it arrives as they sell based on landed cost of the vehicle.

thanks for the advice, let us know when your g63 arrive, emc has one advantage over gargash is the 5 year warranty package they provide with GAP, other than that gargash is way ahead. im still considering ordering a new one after i heard the prices jumped, might wait for couple of years because with 700 k budget other sweet rides are available specially the SLS
