I caught a blurb somewhere that Mercedes is planning a redesign of the G-Wagon in "05..has anyone else heard this or have information??

That's correct,
when I ordered my G400CDI last year, I was informed about
a planned new G-Wagon perhaps in 2005.
There's no information (technic, pics) available at the moment.

Even though they will come out with a redesign in a few years, I love this old retro look, especially with everything looking so modern these days.. A new black on black G500 was parked next to a titanium silver 360 Modena at a Starbucks near my house, and everyone staired at the Benz and basically ignored the Ferrari!! LOL
