Door Sometimes Would Not Open
The driver's side door sometimes would not open on my 03 G500. I have to yank hard on the handle while pressing the button to get it to open. Sometimes it would not open at all even if I pull on it hard. The door locks and unlocks just fine and can open fine from the inside.
It gets better when spraying WD40 on the latch. It looks like they should be greased. Any ideas?

Take it apart and lube the mechanism from the inside of the door. I lubed the innards of the passenger door yesterday due to the button being stiff. Works like a charm now.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to do that today. I'm hoping that I don't have to replace the whole latch mechanism. I just had to replace one of the lock actuators and now I'm getting "Trunk Open" display on the instrument cluster. It's most likely the microswitch, which doesn't cost much.

All I had to do the fix the problem on the door not able to open once in a while is adjust the screw that sticks out to reach the lock mechanism. It was too far away so when you press the button on the handle, it doesn't reach enough to open the door.
As far as the trunk open display, I took the lock mechanism apart to get to the reed switch and had to adjust the arm. What a PITA to get the lock mechanism out. If anyone has to take it apart, make sure you put something to block the crevices below it just in case parts fall off.
