I foolishly unscrewed the front cup holder on my 2014 G63 to clean it. Didn't realize that the nut or backing plate was not fastened like the other dashboard screws. Needless to say, I am unable to reattach the cup holder mount.

Does anyone have details on how to remove the center console so that I can gain access to the mounting from behind? At the very least, an exploded view of the parts perhaps so that I can figure it out? Would be interested in the full removal instructions to gain access to do some custom install of my radar controller anyway.

Thanks, but that doesn't help. Need to remove the center console on a 2014 G Wagon. Video posted was of a completely different car.

The part I am trying to reattach is the mesh net cup holder assembly. I removed the 2 long machine screws not realizing that there must be some kind of backing plate that fell out of place. I tried to get my hand under and feel for it, but nothing.

Anyone with directions to remove the console please help.

I hope I dont have to tear into the center console...
