Where are the brake wear sensors on a G500?
Question One: I am getting an intermittent fault on my 2002 G500 indicating "brake pad wear " "visit workshop" or some such.
It does not indicate exactly where the wear is: front or rear.
I had my rear disks and pads replaced 10KMiles ago. The fronts have not been replaced in years. However, when I had my summer tires put on the tech said the fronts were showing wear but the senior guy said I still had at least 20% composition.
Do the front pads have wear sensors? The illustration of replacement pads show attachments in the rear pads only. I assume therse wires are for brake wear, but might they be for ESP, etc.?
I know the ultimate answer is to go to my trusted tech for an inspection but I would like to be forearmed with this knowledge.
Question Two: Has anyone used Stop Tech Z16 ceramic brake pads on the G500?
There is fellow on Amazon who has used them since 2014 and says they outperform the stock pads on stock rotors.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Just answered my own question
Mercedes-Benz Genuine Factory Part
Part Number: 2025400717
SENSOR BRAKE PAD WEAR SENSOR; G500, G55AMG; Front

I'm betting the fronts are toast.
Question:
Should I put in Akebonos or TRWs or Powerstop Z16 pads. I assume I don't need rotors. I'm divided between highways, rural roads, and off-roading. I do ford gravel streams from time to time. I assume the ceramic are cooler than the stock pads, so disk warping is less of a problem.
