2003 G55 Brake Job Advice
Hi Folks,
My 2003 G55 AMG is ready for new front pad and rotors, and i wanted to get some advice from the forum. The rotors have finally warped enough to make any braking over 30mph bad, and intolerable over 60mph.
1) Any advice on slotted rotors for the 2003 model?
- I was thinking OEM (from autohausaz), but wanted to do just about anything to help improve braking performance on this car.
- I think I want slotted for better performance, but there do not seem to be any OEM manufacturers(ATE or Balo) making slotted rotors.
- Also, are there any good arguments for or against slotted on this car?
2) Any advice on pads for this car? I am considering sticking with Textar(also autohausaz) but since braking on this car seems marginal, I am wondering if I should just buy the MB OEM pads.
Appreciate any and all opinions and advice.
