G63 Bumper Conversion

Against my better judgment I purchased a front bumper conversion for my 2014 G550. All OEM parts in the kit I purchased, however There are several major issues I am hoping there is a solution for:
  1. No support for right and left side of bumper as they would normally mount to the additional radiators/coolers in the g63. Concerned that the plastic bumper will crack off if someone parallel parks and taps the bumper.
  2. Distronic "eye" sensor mounts directly to the 550 front bumper. The G63 bumper support beam has the opening for the sensor, but there is no mount.
  3. The G550 has a oil cooler for the automatic transmission that mounts to the front bumper . . . there are 5 screws fixed to the bumper, but the G63 bumper support frame does not, so how do you mount the oil cooler to prevent it from getting damaged?

Has anyone done the conversion on a current model G550 that resolved any of these issues?

If not, I have a brand new front bumper assembly available for sale. Painted in Designo Graphite.

Thanks

Thanks Keith, but I am not looking to buy what I already have. My questions were related to fit and installation.

It is wonderful that places like fourbyfour sell these bumpers to unsuspecting buyers. The problem is that in practically they don't solve the basic fit questions I asked. What do you do with the oil cooler, and how do you relocate/mount the Distronic Eye. They also don't tell you that the right and left side of the bumper have no support because you need the additional radiators on the right and left to attach the bumper to.

Well my thoughts is he's a supplier of MB OEM parts that specialize in G-Class parts. He sells what he claims to be a Complete Kit for a Full Conversion. He should be a good source or a Good Starting Point.

You also mentioned that you're missing side supports and his Part list contains items that might resolve that issue. He will sell you any missing parts...

I've never done this conversion so feel free to ignore my post if they serve no purpose to your issues.

Keith

You should call or email FourByFourClub. He is extremely helpful and will tell you exactly what you need. I have worked with him continuously for years.

There is also a Chinese company that has these exact fixes for what you are talking about. Their IG is @MDragon010
