250GD - Ex Military Vehicles?
Hi - I'm new here. My attention has recently turned to ex military G Wagons.. 240, 250GD.
I'm curious if anyone here has one?? I could certainly use some advice from someone with first hand experience.

I dont know anyone who has one, but I know these guys specialize in fixing them up and selling them to the public.

yes, this is exactly what I am talking about. There are other closer to me that are doing the same thing. I was just curious if anyone had experience.
I have a few concerns as to their condition.

Well as with any old G, my first concern would be the rust issues if they have seen any salted roads. Top speed would be the next concern, because those things max out around 55mph due to the low gearing.

Otherwise they are pretty basic mechanically as far as G's go.
