New G in 2006
Was speaking with my MB dealer and was actually checking on date for the newly designed S600....coming out in Nov. 05 as 06 model that I've had deposit on.
He had just gotten official model timeline and he mentioned that the all new G will be out in Spring of 06 as an 06 model. He had no info on specs or where it would be built.
Does anyone know if new G will still be built in Germany or will it be an Alabama built model?
Went ahead and put down a deposit on the first new G in the dealership.

That's what we decided to do. Got an AMG so that the engine will last nearly forever (or so I would hope) and a G-class so that the rest of it should hold together pretty well. Nothing like the Benz Brick...or should I say the Benz Sportbrick!
Can't wait...Tuesday's the big day for delivery - black with black brush bar/grille and the misc. stuff for all-weather and hitch. God bless a real off-road vehicle!
