So im looking to get a set of spyderlock wheels for my G. But they're off road wheels and weigh in at 55 pounds each for 20" and 47 pounds for 18". Do you think the axles can handle? Its a 2017 by the way.

I ended up buying the stock 5 split spoke rims 18" from the 2015 G550 and mounting stock size BFGoodrich All Terrains KO2s. I haven't gotten the 2017 G550 yet but I'll post photos as soon as I receive it (NorCal area). The car shows released from the port but it hasn't been put on a truck yet to head to my dealership. Should be soon hopefully. Have you gotten yours?

I haven't gotten the wheels yet. But I do have the G550. I was thinking about getting ko2 because there is a sale on them right now. But ill probably end up getting nitto terra grapplers. I just hate the way the sidewall looks on BFG tires.

That's awesome. You must be one of the first in the country with the 2017 G550. What market are you in? Tell us about it...have you played with CarPlay or Android Auto? How's the new interface? Do you have the adaptive suspension? How is it? Give us a review and post some photos?

I have a set of terra grappler A/t's for winter time. I got them one size wider than normal but I forgot what that is and I won't be near the truck for another week. The tires do well.

Call me an old school off-roading enthusiast, I am not sure why one would get 20inch wheels and tires for a 6000lbs offroad truck. The truck in non AMG trim rides like a truck, even with road tires. The whole build of the G revolves around easy of part replacement in remote areas.
I am running 18 Goodyear Duratrac tires, was worried about getting them because they have a very stiff sidewall but with the weight of the truck they run very similar to the previous street tires. I did size up to 275/65/18
NOTE: Buyer Beware the BajaRack (Looks Great), there isn't enough space to clean the roof between the bottom of the rack and the top of the roof. Nothing will fit between not even my arm. Any suggestions on how to clean the roof, would love to hear it.

275/65R20 on Stock Rims/Suspension.
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar (of course).
Front Tires rub only when Steering Wheel is Fully Locked, so we are going to install some of these once I get my hands on them.
