Squeaky noise when you turn?

I have had this problem with both the side doors and tailgate. The noise is probably coming from the door latch. The dealer tried adjusting them to no avail. Therefore I tried silicone spray applied to the metal post inside the latch. This worked for about ten minutes. I then cut a very small piece of electrical tape and wrapped it around the metal post. It took two tweezers to get it inserted and wrapped. This solved the problem for about a month until the tape wore out. The squeak returned, I put more tape on the posts and even though the tape is now worn away the squeaking is gone. I think that the doors just had to go through a settling in process!

I was told the latch and associated parts were completely replaced on my 02. I was told that there is a problem there and MB was aware. Apparently the prob has been resolved on the 04s.
The service advisor also showed me the spray used [HT 2000] to apply to the hinges and the latches. It is made by a company called Wurst. They are located on Long Island, New York. Its a hi-perf lube and does not hurt the paint.
