'03 G55 AMG - Power Seats
My '03 G55, drivers seat - the seat back is not operating and stuck almost in the laid back position.
All the other seat functions work, back and forth, up and down, even the steering wheel adjustment.
Took it to the shop to have it looked at and they said it was the "power seat module" and can repair for $800 ???
Needless to say I picked up my truck and left - just want to get it back to the normal position and leave it - any help on this subject?
Thanks,

I've recently replaced the seat control module for 04 G500 due to battery drains.
I've got the genuine MB part from ebay for much less than the dealer is charging, $400 to $500.
I took the time to replace it, but it can done in 10 to 20 minutes and I only needed a scissor to cut zip tie which is used to hold wire harness to seat frame.

I have had a similar problem with both front seats in my g270 cdi 2002. They're stuck in various contorted positions with limited function.
The motors seem to function, just not as I would like them to. And the controllers in the doors have been replaced with new parts. Unnecessarily.
I was thinking about buying new modules but I don't have 100% confidence that the modules are the problems. Does anyone know if there is a way to isolate the modules for testing?

I had the same thing happen in my Aston except it was all the forward and wouldn't go back lol! I'm about 6'2" and literally couldn't even get in, I had to get my 5' friend to drive it to the shop for me haha. It was the power seat module in my case there too.

E320 2001 drivers door module
I have similar problem:
driver seat; all forward,
no mirror driver side,
no window driver only,
no steering wheel adjust.
All relate to drivers side door.
I removed the door module,.ordered a replacement from ebay. The replacement was heavily corroded even w/ a pin missing. Returned for refund
Removed the OEM. It was corroded.. Cleaned pins and looked OK. Tested same not working.
Check 4 wire connector w/ key and off. NO power to door!
re-checked all fuses All looked OK
What (FUSE OR RELAY and where is it) controls the power to the drivers side door module?
Does a working module ASK for power and therefor NO power until asked???
