Experience as a ski / Lake Tahoe ride?
Hello,
I'm looking at a late model 2014+ G-Wagon to replace my Subaru Outback.
The car will log about 10K mi/yr, with 8K of it during the winters mostly in Tahoe, hopefully deep snow with the weekly to every other week 3hr drive back to the SF Bay and back up to Tahoe.
Anyone have similar experience with this type of use? I know it's a completely different animal than a Subaru and I have owned a couple Jeep Wranglers in the past.
My main concern is how wearing the 3 hour highway ride is which I'll have to do every 7-10 days during the winter.
Any other winter/mountain driving concerns to consider? I'm aware of MPG and maintenance costs.
It will be garage stored in the winter and run with snow tires.
