Adjustable dampers (A20 option code) for new G550?

Can anyone comment on this option for the G550? Haven’t seen any posts about it.

Is it worth it? Apparently it gives two options: comfort and sport.
I’m mostly concerned with on road comfort.

I plan to keep the G for 25 years, and would rather not get adjustable dampers, since they just cost more to replace, and seem to fail sooner than standard dampers. But if they make a big difference to the ride quality, I’ll get them.

Thanks!

I did read that they don't seem to make much of a difference. Can anyone who has this feature confirm?

g 550
Hello, Have a 2017 G550 with the adjustable dampers, There is a notable difference in comfort with them. Drove a 2017 G63 without, and the G550 was a much more comfortable ride. Now I will say that the G63 had larger rims and thinner tires, this fact figures in unless you have an adjustable dampening system. My wife's Porsche 911 and Cayenne(spelling?) both had band aid thickness tires and the Cayenne rode like a 400 Ls Lexus. I also notice that the build is very tight on our G550, took awhile for everything to seat in, motor took almost 6000 miles to really start to rev quicker. reminds me of BMW M vehicles.
Our G nows does potholes with ease, it just keeps getting better!

Yes, definitely worth the extra price ($1,400 US). It is such a small cost on a $120k+ vehicle, that it would be silly not to add to the build.

I use this option daily. gives you sports suspension on the fly, great when you see some tight turns coming up
