upgrading steering stabilizer G63
I need to know the compressed length and the extended length of the factory steering stabilizer so that i can order a new one from fox or King.. not paying the $200 extra to order the one from Gwagen parts when its the same as a jeep wrangler

Probably the re-seller (Gwagenparts) order a few 12" steering stabilizers and modify those to fit the G-wagens.
If its of any help the OEM one is STABILUS - 4634630032

For what it is worth, I bought their steering stabilizer (g wagen parts King part). King parts are nice, and the stabilizer hypothetically will work on several options given proper installation and factors, but it is not a plug and play job, particularly a stock truck.
I am running 35x12.5r20s that necessitated more steering shock-it is pressurized and will thus cause some pushing/pulling depending on orientation (can be flipped and played with a bit to get the best setup).
It did not clear the mounting bracket, or bar to which it mounts. We had to fabricate a custom bracket on the pass side to extend it out and get some clearance, but that was not good enough. Under certain stresses and drivetrain angles, it still hits the bar. The brackets will have to be completely fabricated and worked with some upcoming stuff I have.
I'm not saying it isn't plug and play in certain circumstances or on certain trucks, but on my 02, a very talented offroad shop couldn't get it to work that simply.

Does anyone know or can measure the extended and compressed dimension of the stock stabilizer as measured from center bolt to center bolt? I'll be the genuine pig with fox if someone can provide the measurement

I got my Fox 2.0 steering damper through JackWagonOverlanding, who drop shipped from Eurowise. It did not have any part numbers on the shock itself, nor on the box. It's $300 so not too terrible of an upcharge. I never took length measurements for fully extended to fully compressed, and body length when I installed so don't have that information.

Off car:
Bilstein 15.5-25.5”, 7/8” eyelet, right bias (shock wants to uncompress)
Stabilus (stock) 15.75-25”, 3/4” eyelet, neutral bias (shock remains neutral in any position)
On car:
Stabilus (stock) 16.5-23.5”
