Mercedes Still Selling The Old 1990 G-Class In Some Parts Of The World
I think this is very interesting. https://www.motor1.com/news/242292/m...g-old-g-class/ This is MB Australia website: https://www.mercedes-benz.com.au/pas...l/explore.html

MBWorld Fanatic!
I think these are the coolest G-classses available for purchase brand new. I would have bought a G300 CDI Pro if it was avail instead of the G550, though I suspect I'm in the minority. I love the combination of the 460's classic looks, modern electronics, simple interior but just enough comfort (A/C). A set of ORC bi-xenon headlamps would make it perfect.
Maybe if SUVs continue to be cool, the G280 and G300CDI Pro will start coming in (with the 25 yr old import rule) but will probably command big $$ for low mileage examples.
Prices are still reasonable for low mileage examples in Germany: https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/d...l?id=254006470 - buy one and store it in Europe and bring it into the US when it's legal

I knew they still produced the W461, however came across something incredibly interesting on Craigslist.

Seems to be a crazy Eastern European Conversion (guessing), as MB didn't produce the 6x6 until they developed it for the Australian Army in 2007 (the much more know Civilian 6x6 was only available as the G63 6x6, and they only made 100 worldwide).
