Compressor noise when opening door



When i unlock my car doors or open the doors this pump goes off and is very loud . My 07 G500 looks to have similar pump as this 13’ but doesn’t make any noise .

This started with 2013 models and newer G class. The fuel pump activates in anticipation of starting the car. If the noise is loud then it could be a fuel pump going bad.
