What I was asking is that since she will be using Eco mode could she take advantage of the Adaptive Damping option? If not then I might as well not get it.

I see what you mean. Yes, it will make a difference. I have read that in emergency maneuvers the suspension will automatically firm up. Presumably if you are steering quickly let's say, to avoid an accident, the shocks will go into firm mode to give you better control.

Ok, sounds like she will be able to drive in Eco mode and put the adaptive dampers in Sport, and if so it may be worth the cost.

I don't know if she can do that - possibly via Individual mode. I will check. Eco mode is probably just the throttle response, which should be adjustable to Eco in Individual mode.

But automatically the car will firm up the dampers in emergency maneuvers.
