Picked it up yesterday, it is exceeded my expectations in every way and Im not new to the G's. . Very impressed with engine sound and pick up very quick, no need for the 63. Execellen Fit & Finish.

Both, I have owned at least 8 Rovers.. I like this much better but again that's personal taste. The biggest fault with the G is absolutely no storage compartments for your STUFF "0"

Very rude to call the Original G-Class crap, when the majority of us on this board own 2018 and older Gs! They are iconic, and perhaps the last remaining vehicle on this planet with over engineered build quality! The 2018 and older G-Class is also one of the most capable and respected off road vehicles in the world. Perhaps your Mother did not teach you, that if you have (obviously) nothing nice to say, then just do not say anything at all.

Maybe I should’ve been more nuanced...and what does ‘rude’ have to do with anything...it’s an opinion...crap in terms of on-road driving dynamics ( where I reckon 99.9% of g-class driving is done) and comfort.

What does rude have to do with anything? Life! But since you think being rude, or calling dozens & dozens of our Gs crap...nothing I can say will matter. And, we keep questioning why there is so much hate, division or animosity in our world?
I love my crap 2018 G63, and while there are aspects and features I might not love on the 2019 G-Class...it is an amazing vehicle. I am proud to own a G-Class, and I'm super happy for all the Members welcoming in the new generation of Gs to our Forum!!
This is a G class forum - 2019 forum no less - a place to share opinions and information about the G. Anyone can say whatever they please on the subject...and when I pick up my 2019 in a few days, if I feel it still drives like crap, I’ll say that also!
For G550...didn’t see a 360 camera option in the 3/15 DOG I used to make the order. The dealer said it was standard. Seeing this window sticker referencing a rear view camera is concerning me
I own a 2015 G550 and it looks great but drives like crap.........tons of roll and that 1970s steering technology (omg - nightmare)
We love it, so we're keeping it in Idaho to go get the groceries
2016-2018 G-Class actually feels better than 2015 and older. We have had a G since 2002...(500, 55, 550, 63)...and 2016, 17 and 18 is actually a pretty good improvement. Of course the steering is 'special', LOL

eautiful, it’s everything we all love and just bigger which I think gives it the king of the road look even more.
inside——
the interior is extremely well designed and inviting, I instantly loved just sitting inside, the seating position is higher to me. The dash seems expansive and cockpit like. The room between driver and passenger is so much better and that width with the hieght of the cabin together makes it spacious.
The drive is totally different now, it feels like an sclass but high up, I think the AMG steering wheel is a big plus and would recommend it along with AMG package.
night or day the cabin is just a place you want to be. The sound system is so crisp and really hits the spot, if the bang n Olsen $7000 system in a bmw is a 10 this is a 8.5 which is still bangin.
the amg package exhaust sounds very nice, not to loud but has the burbles and grunts at all the right moments, the downshift is awesome you get the pops and that clarification to the listener “that was a deep throaty burble that you loved it”
the leather is very soft and surprisingly better than before, I didn’t get designo but now I prolly wouldn’t have it’s nicer than I thought and super lush. The build quality is superb and the new world convieneces are just something anyone who drove the old G would instantly fall in love with.
When this truck hits the road and people get to see and test drive them, RR,Bentley will def have a tough competitor because mb took something that was so good and they made it so much better which to me checks every box possible.
there is one thing I could say I was slightly disappointed in, the door slam is different it still good but before it was more vault like now it’s like a lighter vault door.
bottom line if your on the fence, Jump because there’s happiness on this side more then you think.
oh and the reason there’s black and white because they had an extra one someone canceled so my friend bought one and we spent 30 mins dr iving around in two new g’s punching it to here and feel the car, What a site to see.
