New G500 owner - initial thoughts

I have had my new black/black G500 for a week and have put about 650 miles on it. I just love driving it. It takes some getting use to. It's very tall and heavy. At first it feels awkward but I am starting to get used to it. Power is sufficient and handling is surprisingly good for such a massive vehicle. Over the years I have had ML55's, SL 500's, E55's, C32's, 911's and corvettes. I never had so many comments on all the other cars combined as I have the G500 in just one week. People really go nuts over it. I am looking for some feedback on the following:

- The car tends to drift a little. I find myself having to hold the wheel a little right of center to keep the vehicle straight.

- I hear a few creaks and rattles, but nothing like the ML55.

- Molding around the rear door is loose and needs to be re-glued.

- When sunroof is opened the motor makes a loud click. The MB Regional Service Rep has recommended that the sun roof motor be replaced (No big deal).

Has anyone else experience any of these issues? Any other issues that anyone else can share?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi .. Congrats..

Well,

May be you should check out the alignment, it should not pull to either side... also may be tire pressure. Mine does not do it.

My Passenger side seat or seat belt housing rattles loud, I am taking it in to get this fix this week.

Also, every once in a while, when you turn the car on, it says NO CD Changer or NO Phone, but if you turn it off few times and turn it back ON it works fine... I am having this checked out as well...

It makes Loud clunk noise when you start the car sometimes from below the rear passenger side ( not sure what causes it...) anyone knows if this is normal???

Thats about all the problems I have so far, I have about 1500 miles on it.
