TC in neutral and gear and H/L rectangle not displayed

TC in neutral and gear and H/L rectangle not displayed
Mercedes G-Class G400 2003 model:
When driver's front door is open the alarm TC in neutral is shown in display together with alarm sound
Rectangle on the right side of instrument display with gear indicator and TC info is not shown
Diagnostics shows error P2260 component M64/2
What is the expected range values to read out for VCC, Speed and DIR of transfer shift motor?
Mechanically I can't see any error, changing between H and L works perfect
But I must correct the following:
1. When driver door is opened a continuous alarm is heard and display shows TC in neutral, visit workshop
2. No gear indicator and TC info is shown in instrument display
The mechanic in my workshop is not able to identify a solution and any help would be highly appreciated

Can't be of much help here, sadly, but have you tried resetting the system? apologies if you know the steps. I'll just put it out here in case others face the same issue.
HTH
- Start the engine
- Shift the gear from Park into Neutral
- Hold down the LOW gear button for approx 7-10 seconds
- Release and hold down the HIGH gear button for 7-10 seconds or until the H indicator reappears on the instrument cluster.
- Open the door, and hopefully TC IN NEUTRAL error goes away.
