2019 G550 build
Brand new here, glad I found this place. I just ordered up my 2019 G550 and have everything I want except am unclear about the seats. Was going to get the Designo Exclusive Napa Leather seats with diamond stitching but after searching tons of photos it looks a little too much to have that same diamond stitching on the inside door panels and other parts of the interior. Sort of looks like it ought to be in a limo. I've switched to the basic Designo Napa Leather (no diamond stitching) and am wondering if the seat construction (the build of them) is the same as I want the most comfortable seats I can get. Thanks in advance for any help. Looks like it's being built the last 10 days of April and should be here by the end of May. As a side note, I found a few on dealer lots but they all wanted $5K to $10K over retail for them. Would rather wait and get exactly what I want. Thanks again.

I have designo Black Napa leather with the comfort seat package and its sharp. Also the black interior paired well with the AMG carbon fiber trim. I wasn’t a fan of the diamond stitching but to each his own! I like it and it’s super comfortable.

I would go with the Designo Exclusive Napa Leather seats. Personally, I think anything other than the 800 series seats looks cheap. I'm really surprised the new Gwag doesn't have better upgraded interior options. Maybe they feel most people would want a utilitarian look for the seats?
