Polar White exterior with Designo Macchiato Beige/Espresso Brown exclusive interior. Night package with 22 inch matte black wheels.I loaded her up with prit near every G63 option. Probably overkill/waste, but I even threw in the G63 speed delimiter thingie. Will easily be touching $200k out the door, all told, with 10% WSST, delivery, EFW 100k mi, licensing, etc. Probably won’t be too keen on the idea of engaging 2 or 3 of the diffs, and crashing over huge boulders out in the boondocks with this vehicle, that’s for sure. More suited for cruising down to my local Starbucks, and other such similar “errands.” I’m pretty darned stoked today about this historic development, but I’m hunkered down for a huge amount of additional wait time. I admit it, I’m kind of like a kid waiting for Christmas morning!

I echo your sentiment. Time to ditch the two seater gts and get a big boy truck for me. This is the one! I got every option except the delimiter. My “splurge” was the carbon interior and steering wheel

White on black baby. It’s the best look!

I ordered the carbon fiber interior trim, too. I really wanted to also spec out the the carbon fiber steering wheel, with its awesome smooth macchiato trim, but it was a no-go. With the G63, once you spec out the designo macchiato beige/espresso brown exclusive interior, it forces the steering wheel to just one mandatory choice: black leather. Nutin wrong with black leather steering wheel, but IMHO way less cool than the carbon fiber trimmed out wheel. Oh, well, I suppose I can live without this... BTW, one thing I did not splurge on was spending an extra $1500 for the piece of carbon fiber mounted on top of the front of the AMG engine block. IMHO, I think the regular black cover looks perfectly fine, so I passed on the $1500 carbon. Figured I was better off blowing the $2200 on the speed delimiter.

My G63 is now on a vessel headed to VPC Baltimore. Late 2018 builds held in Europe port until USA VPC's could begin release and create space

The speed delimiter let's the G go faster right? How much so? Cant believe it would even go that fast frankly :-) Flying house!

Just read the memo from MBUSA officially releasing the G wagon today. Should be on the trucks and on their way to dealers as we speak. Expecting three at my dealer (all sold) by the end of the week. Let the games begin.

hmm..is that correct? I’m seriously contemplating spec’ng with carbon fiber trim but with designo espresso trim..I think it’d look good but at the same time it could be too much going on so thinking on keeping designo open pore ash trim instead..what do you think? Btw, I also have delimiter option with black package

i figure a future aftermarket ecu tune will increase the speed limit anyways

there is so much carbon trim when you get the package, it’s a game changer. The ash trim is nice, but doesn’t compare to the carbon.

No way is it too much going on. Do the carbon

My understanding is the delimiter package, costing $2200, is more than just a simple software change enabling a higher top speed. However, what these "extra goodies" are, I just don't know. As soon as my delimited G63 arrives, I will take a deep dive on this, and report back if it involves any other such "goodies." BTW, I have not bothered to even ask my dealer about this, As good as they are, I am sure they will not have a clue on something like this.

Yeah, the black roof looks mighty nice with the white body. However, I will stick with all Polar White. I have enough of a project to take on when my G63 arrives to order a pair of the G-Pro OEM fender mount antenna boxes for a VHF/UHF antenna on the driver side fender, and mounting my Icom AH-740 HF antenna on the passenger fender. These OEM "antenna mount boxes" are specifically made by Mercedes (obviously by one of their subs) for mounting such antennas on the plethora of variants of both the G-Pro line, and the various military versions of the G-wagon. Thus far, I have not been able to find out the MB pertinent OEM part numbers for these fender mounts. However, once I do this, I'm hoping I can order these mounts through my MBUSA dealer's regular parts department. At this point, I don't even know what gives here. I guess the good thing about my long wait for my G63 arrival is I have plenty of time to run these issues to ground!

Hi JetRanger,

Here is what you may be looking for:

I wonder how closely it will fit the new body style. It would be nice painted to match the body color...
