G wagon push bar problems need help (2019)

Hey guys, I have some sort of weird problem. I live in Canada, and purchased a g63 edition 1. I wanted a push bar but they didn’t come with push bars stock. So I had mercerdes order a black pushbar to install. They have been calling Germany for information on how to install it. They ordered numerous parts including brackets, finally they call me to bring it in. They dismounted my bumper and last thing I know I get a phone call telling me that installing it is impossible. I really have a hard time believing that. Can anyone please shed some light on this if possible ? They said that the metal behind the bumper is too thin and G’s that come with brushguards have thicker steel inside the bumper and the holes aren’t alined. I’d have to purchase a whole new assembly under the bumper and rear bumper for safety issues. Thank you

I don’t know specifically about Canada but the European cars have a different x member behind the bumper than the US cars - which extend further to the front of the car and has captive nuts to bolt to. If you want to install the front lower brush guard like on the US spec G63 you need to order this part in addition the the guard itself and the bolts and shims.

The part behind the bumper is MA463 880 53 00
