2019 G Wagon Lights are Ugly... Looks like a Jeep.
Since no one here will speak up, I will. They are Ugly, I can't tell if it's a Jeep Cherokee or G Weeezy.
I Love the 4 white dots on a Porsche. Im trying to figure out an insert or a light cover, with 4 holes to put over the 2019 lights to make it look Higher End (More Bold) like the Porsche lights, and sell it on ebay.
The 2019 looks feminized. Feminization gone bizerk. You can't even hear the unique engine when it drives by. .

The biggest complaint for me with the 19/20 G-Class is the damn Jeep driving lights. WHY Mercedes? So awful!!! Cheap. Cool on a Jeep (since they had it first), but awful on a G-Class!
Exactly my thoughts when I first saw one on the road. At first I thought it was a Jeep Wrangler from a distance. Mercedes should of kept the flat LED bar from the previous G, its was one of its unique characteristics.

Best solution: Sell your feminine g550 and get a cayenne !
The lights have grown on me. When we first took delivery of my wife’s I didn’t know what to think of them. Now I like them more than my G63’s and wonder if there is a mod to add those to the older g’s. It looks more fluid with the design and not like an afterthought as it does on the previous model.
I prefer the original G headlight look. I never cared much for the add-on LED strip, which was added in the 2012 model year. If one wants to split hairs, Mercedes copied Jeep when they introduced the G Wagen back in 1979.

They actually grew on me a lot. Would of been cool to see them do something unique to the square design similar to how they integrated them on the door latches inside, speakers, etc. Like a rounded square daytime running light.
I and everyone I know really enjoy the new sculpted headlight design. Its a great look IMHO.
A lot of people I know really really enjoy mayonnaise on their french fries. Im sure it would grow on me over time. Just not for most of us. It's a great look if you REALLY like Jeeps. Jeeps had it first, it looks like a cheap imitation, I mean more expensive imitation.
Or maybe a better analogy is 🐌 snails. Very tasty once you acquire the taste.

Everything kinda grows on us after we accept that there's no turning back I assume some mods will be coming. I have a few Ideas.
