Finally got a rear cargo mat. Instead of cutting out the corners, I used a drill to punch holes for the D-rings, then a knife to cut a line between them.
That's the plasticky trunk liner. I was hoping for something less slippery, that matched the all season mats. This picture was posted earlier in this thread, I'm wondering if that's in fact this part:
It looks like based on the shape and cutouts for the tie downs. Not sure why the liner is so much more than the mat though since the mat appears more substantial.
Actually Bob has the part numbers and pricing reversed.
The picture is very misleading and should be reversed. The carpet #10 should be on the bottom then the liner #50 and the rubber mat #20 on top.
The liner is around $100 p/n 463-814-00-00 and has the MB Star logo. The rubber mat is $150 p/n 463-684-43-00-9H42 carries the G logo and is cut for the tie down rings.
I have the liner and it fits snugly in the cargo area. in all corners and areas. I think the rubber mat would fit nicely inside the liner if someone wanted both. I wanted and ordered the rubber mat and received the liner. I decided to keep it since it would prevent spills, mud, snow and other dirt from ruining the cargo carpet since it has turned up edges to keep any spilled liquids contained.
Because of this feature, I considered it and will not be cutting out the marked corner areas for the cargo rings. I may buy the mat later and install it inside the liner for daily use. Then I will be able to remove it for those times when just the liner is needed.

Thanks much. I am not sure what the liner looks like - mbpartscenter told me today that "the liner is the carpeted part in the trunk" but I do not think it is since I have seen pictures of one with the cutouts and I am guessing this is it: (https://www.mboemparts.com/oem-parts...368443009h42)
That's the "tub", polypropylene liner, vs the rubber one that we were hopeful would match the all season mats (and have stuff not slide around the trunk).

Oh, so the "liner", the more expensive one with cutouts is the one you are saying does not fit the G63? I would think the rear areas are the same...why would they be different? If you enter your VIN# and it does not say it will not fit it should be ok, and if not they would have to pay to have it shipped back.
Thanks. I still do not see how the back area is different from a G550 to G63.
In the US, the back area is the same - the G550 and G63 both have the Burmester sub back there - in Europe and other markets, I think the sub is not there and there is an additional cargo space with net for vehicles without Burmester. The photo on the MBUSA site shows a non-US model.
I just picked the rubber trunk liner up from the dealership if anyone is curious how it compares. I probably could have cleaned it up a little for the picture but I’m happy with it compared to the hard plastic boot tub.
