Can someone ID these wheels for me?

Last week I bought a 2017 G550,. The original window sticker did not come with the car.

2 questions:

First, can anyone identify these wheels for me? I’m thinking about switching them out and I am wondering how much I can get for them.

And, while I am here asking, assuming I decide to keep them, are these scorpion tires good for snow, or should I buy winter tires?

Nice color! Is it tectite grey metallic paint? I also see different exhaust tips - did the previous owner swap in the G63 exhaust or just the tips?

You can plug in the VIN in here to get the original build spec: https://www.datamb.com

Pretty sure those are factory wheels starting on the 2016+ G550. Those are also the factory spec tires. Can't comment on snow performance though but I am a believer of dedicated snow tires when I lived in the Northeast - check your spare. Mine is actually a Dunlop snow tire in smaller 265/55/19 size.

There are different finishes for that wheel on the G550, the official ones on the order guides are dark grey gloss finish (like mine) and black matte finish. I had seen a polished clear coat finish on brand new 2018s as well when I was looking around - my guess is MB were just using up leftover parts to build the final batches of the 463. Mine was not specced with the burl wood steering wheel according to the window sticker but it comes with it

I would keep those wheels. I didn't like mine (still don't care for the dark finish) but the styling is growing on me. Regarding for price, if you go to ebay and look up 19" G550 / G55 tires and wheels - that's probably a good benchmark

Thank you. That site was very helpful. The wheels are AMG LA WHEELS 19". I like them, but if I upgrade to Brembo brakes, I might want to upgrade the wheels too. But I’m not serious about making any changes immediately. I want to take my time and do it right.

The color is actually Magnetite Black. I don't know if they swapped the exhaust too. How do I tell? Truth be known, I didn’t even know they swapped out the tips until you just told me. I do know that one of the selling points for me was that I loved the sound, but I just thought that was the way all G550s sounded. It doesn’t say anything about the exhaust on that invoice. At least, not that I could tell. There were a few lines in German and I dont know what those lines mean.

Gotcha on the brakes - the Brembo brakes may actually fit inside the 19s but if not there are always take off G63 and G65 wheels

All G550s come with a pretty burbly exhaust (K69 SPORT EXHAUST SYSTEM in the options list) but it is still quieter than the G63 - only way to tell if the previous owner didn't just add the tips is to compare to another G550

Enjoy!

Brought it to the dealer and paid $380 for their 165 point inspection that they do on their certified pre-owned cars. I asked the mechanic about the exhaust. Said it was just the AMG tips.

I was a little disappointed, but on the bright side, they said the results of the inspection came up perfect. Said the car was like new. He asked how much I paid, and when I told him, he said I stole it, and that they would sell this car for at least $10K more than I paid. That made me feel good to hear.
