Allocation awareness timelines

When do MB dealers "know" their allocation, and how far out?

e.g. do they get assigned quarterly? Monthly? Are they always told on the 1st of the month? 10th day of the quarter?...

If I were talking to dealers now (early September), how far out do they know their confirmed allocation?

A gaggle of MB's
Every Mercedes dealer "already knows" about how many G550's and how many G63's they will get for 2020 model year - because it will be the same as what they received for model year MY2018 - and "slightly ahead" of what they received for MY 2019..

So this "allocation game" is just that - a "game" dealers use to get your order - then "surpise" it will be later than what we talked about..

Totally fair on all fronts. This whole allocation thing, alongside the lies of "All MY2020 G63s are sold out" is infuriating.

The dealer I'm working with I believe is trustworthy. They're telling me they've got confirmed allocation up until November, and are expecting another two for December "any time". I'm just trying to figure out if that's BS or not and, if it's not, when to hassle them next

It's not necessarily a lie. When every dealer has a customer list thats dozens and dozens long, in essence, the G63s are sold out for all intents and purposes...

100%. From what i know 2020 g63 orders put in the Mercedes system have not pulled in yet from corporate.

Its more about the waiting list and how many people on it. If they got 10 vehicles last year and youre number 15. Wait for 2021.

I think dealers are as unhappy as we are because they need more vehicles to sell.

Anyone know how often allocations are released? Is it 1st of the month or could be anytime?

Per a SoCal dealer, the first of the 2020 Allocations are going out later this month and early October for December release.

Soon: 2020 G63 Currently: 2016 GLE63 SUV + 97 F250HD, Before: 2013 G550, Range Rover Sport, 1984 CJ7
My 2020 G63 with PO# was updated in the benz system. It has a build date of October 17th. I will check the forum to see how long production to delivery is (to east coast USA), Guessing a 6-8 weeks...
