Stupid question guys. I saw in a review on youtube someone go with 25mm and it looked perfectly fine. With that said however, whenever I look at buying options, 31mm keeps popping up. I assume thats the standard for OEM wheel/tire option ?
in pics it looks like the 31mm have the outside edge of the tire ever so slightly sticking out. I'd want a perfectly flush look myself (25mm might do that)....just think it looks better, plus less rocks hitting panels from being kicked up etc.
with 305's on OEM rims and the 31mm spacers it's pretty much flush to the lip, but tucks up cleanly into the fender.
One thing to consider in adding the spacers is it's adding roughly 18lbs of rotational unsprung weight overall ( set of 4 plus extra set of lugs) .... I decided to have custom offset rims built and saved 12lbs a corner over the spacer and OEM rim.....it more than offset the extra weight of the larger tire. Worth considering if it's a long term hold vehicle...
I had these installed today with AT tires. I will say the truck handles better but it did not raise it as I thought it would. It did fill the fenders nicely.
From other members pics I was hoping for a bigger difference. I think I was expecting too much
I needed new tires anyway and it ended up being cheaper than 22s
