Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
I'd say it all depends on your locale..... if you in the "yukon" I'd do dedicated rims/tires with some Nokia's or Hakka's..... if youre so-cal or boston likely a snowflake rated all season will suffice.. if you're in Vermont or telluride I'd opt for the dedicated setup....

to me a wider stance via spacers or custom offset rims would be nice to have for a dedicated setup - given the optimal likely use of a tall narrow tire over stock size....

it's obviously a heavy vehicle and that will help to an extent - lockers are only going to assist once stuck....

If you plan to drive in snow or ice, yes. You need stopping power for all that weight.

Thanks for giving me your insight and expertise with the G63 winter tire options. I live in Long Island , NY and we receive on average 30 inches of snow annually with a couple of big storms every year with 20 inches in one event. We are skiers so the Adirondacks of NYS & the Green Mts of Vermont we often visit. This is my wife's car so I am trying to give her the best overall tire. I just replaced the Yoko advan st summer tire on Thursday for the pirelli scorpion Zero ALL season which is only good for light snow. I originally requested from the dealer Pirelli Scorpion ATR all terrain tire but they said they could not get?? I thought the ATR would be a better tire than the Zero. Do you think I should get the Nokians or blizzaks and just put them on my existing rims. If $$$ was not an issue I would probably just get a 2nd set of rims and put a dedicated winter tire on them and install every December---march..

Do you run your G on the beach at all?

Thanks Yukon

ZERO ALL SEASON tires and wondering if I did the right thing for this G??? We live in Long Island , NY with about 30 inches of snow annually and do ski trips to Adirondacks & Vermont . Any input you can give this NEWBIE would be greatly APPRECIATED!!!

Hey Johnny

When are u getting your new 2020 G63?? I came very close to buying a 2019 G550 but dealer was not up front with the pricing so I was patient and found a very nice 2016 g63 with only 520 miles!!! I know the new G has great ride characteristics I compared the 2 models and I like the wider stance and a lot more leg room in rear. How did your 2013 G hold up?? Was it reliable and how does it compare with your Range Rover?? We also considered a RR but was concerned about the build quality!

Thanks YUKON
