2018 G63 Exhaust ideas??
OK
I LOVE my G!
The exhaust sounds good BUT I just want more!
Was wondering if anyone with a 2018 or earlier G63 has swapped their exhaust?
I looked at the Akrapovic exhaust and it looks and sounds AMAZING but I just can't spend over 10K before install on an exhaust.
I know iPE also offers one as well as Capristo.
What else is there?

MBPH has a high clearance version without the AMG tax..... but tone is a bit different. I have the Akra on my C63 and the fit and build is amazing but hard to justify unless you can find a lightly used one..... I'm having my local shop look at it this week - they're one of the few with a real Mandrel bender and thinking some Burns stainless cans plus secondary cat deletes while in there would be a good solution....given my use of it for offroad I'll likely have just a turn down tip as MBPH did.

Akrapovic is the best exhaust in regards to quality & iPE is the best exhaust in regards to sound. All the other options like Capristo, FI, Renntech, Weistec, Brabus, etc. will have their pros & cons.
What are you looking for in your exhaust that the iPE & Capristo don't have?

you certainly can delete the secondary cats ( primaries likely only can be done with motor tipping or R & R ,,,,,, ) and then run as much can as you like..... it's VERY straight once you're past the downpipes...

I had a 17 G63 and added RennTech downpipes, diverter calve, and a tune. The downpipes gave it that deep rumble I was looking for.

I have never had any issues with the CEL light. Even on my current GLE63S, I have the same mods. Another reason I also stick with RennTech.
By chance, were you at COTA last week for the AMG Driving Academy?
