I'm looking at putting one of these on my UK spec car but MB don't allow it on UK cars and so aren't being very helpful. I can get hold of one but need details of how its fixed and any additional parts required. Can any US owners post some pics of the fixings or even better can any US shop provide fitting instructions and parts required?

If I remember correctly, there's just one massive 19mm bolt on each side that you can reach under the car. Unfortunately it means that it's really easy for thieves to steal too.

Found it, thats really useful, thanks. Now need to see if I can find the 19mm bolts and bumper mounting braces required.
Been doing some more homework. I haven't yet removed the caps on the bumper where the bar mounts but understand that UK G63 cars have all the holes necessary. The G350d (or US G550) have a different bumper which won't take the G63 bar. I checked with my dealer and they can source me the bar but won't fit it as its officially not UK compatible.
UK law says that bull bars aren't illegal per se but only if they increase risk to pedestrians. I asked my dealer to check with their in house MOT tester and he said it would pass if correctly fitted albeit its a bit grey and another tester might take a different view. The lower fitment of the bar on the new G63 helps.

I'm not from UK so I can't comment, but in North America, there is technically illegal and the likelihood of enforcement. For example, modifying your exhaust to make it louder is illegal in many places. However, unless your exhaust is smelling like a coal mine and your revving the crap out of it, it's unlikely for someone to enforce the penalty (except maybe in California).
Same with window tint.
With that said, if the reason the bullbar is illegal due to pedestrian safety, mounting one could open up some liability if you ever hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian's party could claim the reason they are injured is because you willingly mounted an illegal bullbar. That would be my biggest concern.
The UK and US are quite different. You have black and white laws and rules and we have regulations with principles and judgements. So in this case, I'm relying on the feedback from my tester at the dealer but would of course notify my insurers.
