MY19 G63 Brush/Bull bar
Thanks
If I remember correctly, there's just one massive 19mm bolt on each side that you can reach under the car. Unfortunately it means that it's really easy for thieves to steal too.
UK law says that bull bars aren't illegal per se but only if they increase risk to pedestrians. I asked my dealer to check with their in house MOT tester and he said it would pass if correctly fitted albeit its a bit grey and another tester might take a different view. The lower fitment of the bar on the new G63 helps.
The part numbers needed are:
Bull Bar - A4638807601
19mm Bolt - N000000008940 – 2 Pieces
Bumper Caps - A4638857602 – 2 Pieces
Mounting Bracket LH A4638859501 – 1 Piece
Mounting Bracket RH A4638859801 – 1 Piece
Crossmember- A4638805300 – 1 Piece (not 100% sure if this is required, TBC)
Fitting/removal looks easy as its held on by just 2 bolts:

I'm not from UK so I can't comment, but in North America, there is technically illegal and the likelihood of enforcement. For example, modifying your exhaust to make it louder is illegal in many places. However, unless your exhaust is smelling like a coal mine and your revving the crap out of it, it's unlikely for someone to enforce the penalty (except maybe in California).
Same with window tint.
With that said, if the reason the bullbar is illegal due to pedestrian safety, mounting one could open up some liability if you ever hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian's party could claim the reason they are injured is because you willingly mounted an illegal bullbar. That would be my biggest concern.
