Just for curiosity that is the fuel consumption of new g63 of 2019 ? real consumption in city and highway.

 

Pretty much only drive in the city and I'm seeing 9.3mpg. 95% Sport+

Have seen 7.2mpg from time to time.

 

Whats the best someone has seen on long highway drives? Any hyper-milers here?

2018 G63 highway in the 14's, city around 10. I have to imagine the 19's get better mileage.

 

I usually drive hard AF, but sometimes I get bored and try to hypermile my GLE63. Ive gotten massive MPG on it riding on New Yorks 87. Cant wait to see how high and low MPG i can get on the g63. #challenge.

Haha yes double digits :-). I drive 220miles from NYC to Vermont and I get 30MPG on my GLE63 in comfort mode with coast on and hypermileing behind other vehicles. 30 is pretty damn good i think on that engine.

Yes, in sport+ 8mpg is pretty normal :-).

 

As a matter of interest - now more folks have the 2019s and 2020s, and have "run them in", what sort of average MPG are you getting now?

Again, I'm not expecting great here, but I'm hoping to at least average double digits with a mix of city / freeway? :\

I averaged 14.1 mpg over my first 1000 miles with mostly city driving. I've seen 17mpg on several 50-100 mile drives with pretty constant acceleration.

 

It’s kind of difficult to coast a lot in Florida😂 It’s flat everywhere so no hills. This was at an average speed of 59. My avg speed on the interstate at 72 was 16.2mpg over a longer distance. I just use the cruise control a lot and stay out of the gas pedal.

 

Have to think I'm sort of the worst case scenario with 99% city driving, 90% S+.'

What’s the cost of a gallon of fuel where each of you guys are? - curious how it compares state to state?

in the UK a gallon of fuel around me is an average of £5.62. - Roughly equates to $7.30USD.

 

In the UK I believe you are dealing with imperial gallons. So I don't believe the dollar per gallon is comparable. Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

So there are a few interesting differences between "Petrol" and "Gas" ;p

1. US gallons are smaller
2. The tippy-top tier of US fuel ("Premium") has a quality equivalent to the base tier (95RON) UK
3. Liters and Litres are the same, albeit with a different spelling ;p

That said, I just filled up in greater Seattle at $3.69/US gallon. That's $4.43/UK gallon, or $0.97 a litre. At current rates, that's about £3.44 / UK gallon or £0.75 a litre.
