My new G63 2019 needs a brand new fuel tank.
MB authorized mechanic told me that My new G63 2019 needs a brand new fuel tank, how this is possible?
because the fuel indicator on my dashboard shows empty gas tank all the time.
I wish someone can explain this to me, if the car really needs a brand new fuel tank, or just replacing the fuel tank sensor.
I hate replacing parts on a brand new car.

I’ll do you one better. Since i got my ED1 in February, I have:
- replaced the windshield 3 times
- replaced two speakers
- replaces the entire console/navigation screen
- fixed a misaligned door
- replaced BROKEN wiring in the passenger door
- replaced transfer module
at least 45 down days. Open complaint with corporate .....

"MB authorized mechanic " - please clarify - is this a MB US dealer - where if required this would be done "free" under warranty - or did you export a US G63 to another country and now you have a problem in your country/not under warranty ?

It is free, by certified Mb dealer mechanic, but I don’t like fuel tank replacement because it feels like it’s never going to be done the way the factory does it. I will probably get rid of the car even though I love the car.
