I am beginning a new project on my late Grandfathers 1986 240GD and i need your help and expertise, I need to find a new engine and transmission for his car.
I have researched that the best engine of that era to upgrade is to the OM6173.0 L Diesel I5, 88 PS (65 kW) at 4,400 rpm, 126 lb·ft (172 N·m/2,400 rpm).
I need to find one with an automatic Transmission and gearbox to finish my complete restoration. i am open to all kind of advice and suggestions.
As u can tell this is a very especial project im holding close to my chest.
