Issues Rear AC Control

The rear AC control in my 2019 G550 does not work. The display shows the temp and the airspeed, but when you try to change the speed of the fan or temperature nothing happens. The AC is not synced with the front AC. he dealer can’t figure it out and has opened a ticket with Mercedes.

Anyone else with a 2019 or 2020 having similar issues with their rear AC?

Did you end up getting this resolved? I have an issue with my rear climate display screen not showing anything at all. The air flows without issue but the screen is off.

I was able to get it fixed. The dealer ended up changing out that rear A/C control unit and did a software update. It’s been working ever since. I can control the A/C temp and fan speed from the rear seats and from the front command/display unit.

just curious when they fixed your rear climate control if the rear controls for temperature and fan speed work independently of the front seat controls.

my local MB dealer has replaced the rear control unit twice, but the rear controls still don’t work. However the fan speed switch for the front seat controls the rear seat. This can’t be the way MB drained the car. My rear seat controls are basically useless.

shouldn’t the rear controls work independent from the front seat fan control?

Well, it was working (was able to control the fan speed and temp from the rear AC control unit) when the dealer switched out the rear A/C controlling unit and it was nice. However, I just noticed about a month ago that was no longer the case and it is not working as it should (I can only adjust the temp and fan speed from the main/front control screen on the dash). I am going to have the dealer address this the next time I take it in for service. I don’t know if it was an “over the air” software update (not sure if Mercedes does that) or just bad unit again that stopped working.
