My wife was rear ended in her 2019 G550. It was a case of road rage where 3rd car behind her purposely rammed the car immediately behind her 4 times which pushed this car into our G. Long story short, our attorney really wants to get Event Data Recorder data from the G to strengthen the case, I called several premier body shops around me and no one does it. I will call my dealer Monday, but I think they charge like $5000 for this. I am in Los Angeles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My other half has a body shop in the UK and he plugs into plenty of cars with multiple code-readers/ scanners / unsure what you guys call them. He says some vehicles give data ....time/ date and various other details. He said that any decent shop with such a tool should be able to plug into it and see if there’s anything there - no big deal.
He doesn’t even charge for such a thing tbh. I’d just be tempted to rock up at one of these places and just ask them to plug in, there maybe something, or there maybe nothing - worth a shot AS LONG AS THEY DONT CLEAR ANY CODES OR DATA.
An accident reconstructionist can use Bosch equipment to download data if the vehicle is not been driven since the accident. If it has been driven then the date is overwritten.
