If anyone was wondering how a basically stock G with 285/60R18 BFG KO2's would fare in 12"-18" of snow, it's not a problem until you run into a medium steep driveway with no momentum and get high centered on the snow pack.

And if you decide to get the spare delete plugs you might have a better chance getting color-matched covers. They didnt have my color code and I didnt feel like forking over $ to paint them. So I got whatever white they had

Man those plugs seem like a total G-Wagon taxed item. Everywhere I've seen them they are $100+ which is just robbery.
For the time being I am just going with black rubberised plugs, also have shorter bolts that I will be putting behind them with nylon spacers and rubber washers for extra weatherproofing.

I agree. That said they are well-made from aluminum.
Quick update on my tire to the roof look. Still waiting for the Yakima tire hold down, but these HD ratchets to eye bolts worked on a 1k+ trip last year.
Next will be a pelican low profile rifle box for storage. Hoping to get a camping trip in later this month if the weather cooperates.

I had my spare delete made. Bought a replacement sore carrier, had a guy cut the lugs off, weld in blanks, finish and paint. Probably $300 total but really nice finished product.
My 2021 G550. I just had opticoat pro3 installed which I am really pleased with. These wheels are getting switched out for new 20" wheels. (Current wheels are for sale pick up in central FL for anyone interested.)
