Limey, it’s me from rennlist! Sweet .2! I have a 2011 G550 and a 2014 911 C2 (base pdk). Daily the G.
How do you like those taillights on the G? Any more photos of them when lit? Do you daily the G?
Hey man, are you stalking me?
Thanks for the compliments.... taillights are nice, I had to swap out the originals due to some damage. They're not the best quality (made in China) and I had to do some extra waterproofing to them before installation, but they seem to work well for now. I had those put in along with the bumper fog/reversing lights that now match (both work for fog and reversing lights). I couldn't even start to install them myself, the instructions were awful - had them done at a highly regarded Jeep aftermarket shop. Sorry I don't have any pics of them working, didn't get around to it, but both tails and fogs operate for reversing which is pretty sweet. I kinda daily the G when I'm not working from home, and I also try and get the Porsche out 2-3 days a week as well.
Steve, by the way.
Hes interested in the lamps, Im interested in your mud flaps. Got more photos of them including how its bolted on?
I got the mud flaps from Sharp Truck, I believe they are the Husky "Kick Back" flaps - Sharp Truck - Husky Mud Flaps
Looks like they may not be selling them anymore, however. The top part is powder coated stainless steel with small bolts to attach a rubber mudflap, and you just bolt the steel part to your fender liner.
They're standard width so I just picked out some recycled rubber flaps to bolt to the bottom of them. The nice thing is that you can move them up/down or inboard/outboard as much as you want. They seem to be holding up well even for off-roading activities.
My 92. Got it new. All original. Pool anyone? 2016 G550 mint. My mountain vehicle. I love my garage. Gym, billiards, bar, couch, tv, kitchen and full bath. And oh yea, my babies!
Beautiful G ! One quick question - How did you install the hood scoop ? Glued it on or drill holes ? I have a 2016 G63 AMG and am looking to put on a similar hood scoop as well.

Thanks in advance.
We can assist you with the hood scoop questions. Most of the genuine hood scoops like BRABUS or MANSORY are all glued.
I just had some cosmetic changes done to my 2017 G550. Powder coated the bull bar. Wrapped the grill, badges, and spare cover. Swapped out the wheels for the OEM 20 inch AMG black wheels. And had the calipers painted red. The change of pace should hold me over until I am ready to trade it in on a new one. Here are some before and after photos.

Looks like a new truck, wow. You killed it. I’m likely going to black out my brush guard. Did you paint or powdercoat? I’m deciding between gloss and satin black. Leaning towards gloss.

Thanks! The bull bar is powder coated. I thought I wanted gloss too, but the guy talked me into satin. He said gloss would accent the bull bar too much and the satin would match the wheels. He wrapped everything else. He went with satin on the spare tire cover, and gloss on the grill and badges to blend in with the paint job on the car.
