Need help - Dealer problem - OEM Brake parts #

I got a problem with my dealer. Bought my G63 2018 Star Certified 2 months ago with 12,000 miles (20,000km) on it.
I went to put on my summer tires and they say my 4 brake pads needs to be changed and my front rotor need changing too (rear rotor is ok)
Now they want to charge me to changes them... WTF
A Mercedes Star Certified car on the MB official website say should have : Quote from MB website : • 50%+ life on brake pads and rotors
How can the G be in need of new brakes and rotors in 2 months when I only did 1,200 miles (2,000 km) since purchase? (lol no track times guys)
They say new brake pads on my 2018 G63 is:
Front: 10mm
Rear: 12mm
and now current pads are:
Front: 4mm/10mm (40% left)
Rear: 4mm/12mm (33% left)
Question:
Is my front pad new really 10mm ???
They say the pads were at 5mm when i bought it. and clears the 50% they need.
No way they where at 50% when I bought the truck right ?! And they did not follow the MB certified norms.
They just offered to pay 50% of all the brake changes cost.... but if they did not follow the certification... they did wrong....no?
What you guys thinking here? Anyone can 100% confirm new front pads are 10mm or not ?
I'd verify what the certification actually guarantees. Aside from that, tell the stealer you would like to see the pads. Once in the garage, ask the mechanic to measure one of them in front of you so you can verify it. I've inspected progress and work but in a nice and respectful way. They don't care. They would know you should be suspect of that wear. If they don't show you, I'd definitely believe they are trying to pull a fast one. If that is the case, don't authorize the work and take it somewhere else for a brake inspection, but don't tell them your story.
One other possibility is the calipers are dragging (stuck compressed/not releasing). That would be a warrantied defect, but they didn't say that and the mechanic would know if the calipers are stuck when servicing the brakes.

At what mileage did you guys change your brake pads on your G63 ?
I know the G-Wagen is heavy. Not sure if this makes the G change pads quicker than other AMGs.
On my other AMGs I changed the 1st set of pads at around 60,000 km (40,000 miles).
How about you?
