Side Step Removal Help

Hi All

Any got instructions for the removal of the side steps and the subsequent strip down of the rubber to reveal the steps on a 2016 G63 please, I want to change them from chrome to satin black, powder coat, multi purpose paint etc.? The rubber runners are raised nicely so foot traffic will be minimal hopefully, part of the de-chroming of the car.

I read online somewhere that the wheel arch liners needed to come out to get at some screws so more fiddly than a few brackets underneath as Id hoped?
