2020 G63 Cushion Change - need help

Aside from the buckets seats, the G63 is everything I could hope for and more. For those of you out there still on the fence, this is a must get. However, nothing's perfect and there are a couple of annoyances ; one of them is the wings of the front seat cushions. I have an average build yet, on long drives, they actually hurt my hips for a while. Sitting in the outerboard rear seats is actually more comfortable.

Aside, from placing a cushion on the driver seat (for a proper taxi look), most threads recommend replacing the entire seat with something aftermarket - definitely don't want to do that. My remaining thought is to purchase the OEM part from the MB catalog and hope a customizer can contour the wings down to create as flat a surface as possible. As opposed to opening the seat first, getting the part will provide more insight on whether this is even possible. From the below, it seems like #22 is the culprit here. First of all, was wondering if anyone knows what kind of material this would be made of...can it be bent, cut, shaved, etc? Second, there are several versions of #22 based on the truck's options. My particular truck has DD4 with Comfort Seat Package - the below part says 'W/O AMG PERFORMANCE SEATS', I don't recall there being an option for 'performance seats' - does anyone know if they maybe simply be referring to any AMG vehicle? Since this seat fits many non-AMG models. I tried entering my VIN but the websites don't seem to recognize it.

Any help or insight is appreciated.

Not sure if the foam can be cut down because there are also pockets for the air bladders (in the middle, not the sides) and there might be heating elements underneath? I think I would just go with the cushion option to be honest to avoid disturbing the factory fit and finish in case later, you decide to sell the car, etc. Maybe there’s an automotive reupholstery shop that could provide more guidance on this and do the install
