Spare tire trim ring: stainless steel?
Anyone know what they are made out of, is it stainless steel? Mine will be Obsidian Black since it has the Night Package and my painter asked me what it is made out of.

Yes, as far as I know it is stainless steel. A lot of listings for used ones seem to say "Chrome", but these guys should know: Mirror Finish Polishing service

Thanks. I want to get it painted to match and I agree that it appears to be SS after reading it and all the ads for them.

I am getting my G63 mufflers/tips powder coating this week in Satin Black, to match the wheels, but I want the tire ring painted to match the exterior in Desert Silver Metallic so powder coating will not work.
