Mystery Rubber Part under the hood latch area (W463A) 2019+

Ok little help needed here from 2019+ W463A owners. Need a pic or other help identifying mystery parts under the hood....

If you’re like me you probably haven’t opened your hood that many times since getting your new G. I think I've opened it four times up to this point. First time was to see who was the signature on my AMG engine. Second time was just to take a second look :-). Third time to refill the washer fluid and the fourth time was tonight when I went to refill the washer fluid for a second time. Upon refilling the washer fluid I noticed an unusual rubber part sitting on the front part of the engine bay right by the hood release mechanism. On further review I noticed that there was a similar second part jammed down in the area below the hood latch (see pics below). I have no idea what these parts are, or where/how they are supposed to be installed/positioned, and given that one of them was sitting in an unusual location (just sitting on the front ledge of the engine bay not connected or inserted anywhere), I became perplexed. It wasn’t clear to me whether or not these parts belong down in that area near as part of the hood latch to soften the close, and I’m still not sure so I didn't insert the loose part. I did attempted to close the hood with the right rubber grommet and it’s position as shown in the picture, however, it caused the hood latch to get stuck and not close all the way. After fidgeting with it a little bit I was able to secure it and get it to open and I removed both parts. Can anybody take a look under the hood, specifically in the area under the hood latch, and help me identify where these parts belong properly?

There are two different but similar parts, with a slightly different shape.

They are currently both removed and I'm perplexed!

Can anyone find and help me figure out where I should put them?????

Thanks!!!

I think those may be remnants of larger parts, aka garbage. I would have thought that pieces are not hand-fitted on the line but in this case that appears to be true.

I think you're right. I've spent the last hour or so looking at engine bay pics online and I can't see those parts anywhere I think they were part of the shipping process and we're not removed at delivery. Would feel better if someone took a look! :-)

Those look like squeegees for tint or PPF.

Looks like plastic Stamp out remnants from production of some of the plastic parts on the vehicle. Surprised they were left there.

Yeah, I've concluded these are spare parts. I had a clear bra installed so possible the installer left them as squeegees but totally random it was jammed in the hood release area. Thanks all!
